Russian stock market opens with index gains

The Russian stock market started the day in positive territory, as per data from the Moscow Exchange published on Wednesday.

The MOEX Russia Index rose by 0.57 per cent to 3,129.01 points, while the RTS Index saw a gain of 0.92 per cent to reach 1,133.38 points.

Meanwhile, the yuan weakened by 2.7 kopecks, trading at 11.868 rubles.
