Russian stocks show slight rise on Monday

The Moscow Exchange’s MOEX index started trading on Monday at 2,986.32 points higher, reflecting a growth of 0.44 per cent. The RTS index also rose by 0.44 per cent to 1,072.18 points.

By 10:15 Moscow time, growth had slowed for the MOEX index, which registered a slight increase to 2,973.54 points (0.01 per cent), and the RTS index also edged up to 1,067.59 points (0.01 per cent).

Meanwhile, the yuan’s exchange rate fell by 0.85 kopecks, bringing it to 11.96 roubles.
