Russia’s inflation rises slightly in early August

Russia’s inflation rate was 0.05 per cent from August 6 to 12, 2024, according to Rosstat, a slight increase from the previous week when inflation was zero.

So far this year, consumer prices in the country have risen by 5.11 per cent.

Year-to-date, consumer prices have risen by 5.11 per cent, with annual inflation standing at 9.54 per cent as of August 12.

Food prices saw modest increases, with butter up by 0.7 per cent, margarine by 0.6 per cent, and pork by 0.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, prices for carrots dropped by 3.4 per cent, beets by 2.6 per cent, and potatoes by 1.9 per cent.

Fuel prices also rose, with gasoline up 0.3 per cent and diesel 0.1 per cent.
