The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) boosted on Thursday its growth projections for South Korea to 2.6 per cent in 2024, a significant upward revision from an earlier forecast of 2.2 per cent made in February.

This upward revision extends to 2025, with the OECD now expecting growth of 2.2 per cent, up from the previous estimate of 2.1 per cent.

The Paris-headquartered organistation raised its forecast for global growth in 2024 at 3.1 percent, the same as 2023, followed by a slight pick-up to 3.2 per cent in 2025.
