South Korea’s unemployment rate declined to 2.1 per cent in September 2024, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year, as per a statement published by Statistics Korea on Wednesday.
In September, the number of unemployed individuals decreased by 39,000 to 622,000, a 5.9 per cent drop from the previous year. While, the number of employed persons increased by 144,000 to 28.842 million, a 0.5 per cent rise year-on-year.
