S. Korea’s retail sales remain flat in May ’25

South Korea’s retail sales were unchanged in May 2025 from the previous month, while declining 0.2 per cent compared to the same period a year earlier, according to data released by the national statistics agency on Monday.

The seasonally adjusted Retail Sales Index stood at 101.4 in May, the same level as April. On a non-seasonally adjusted basis, the index rose to 104.4 from 100.4 in the prior month, the report showed.
