S. Korea’s unemployment rate rises in Oct.

South Korea’s unemployment rate recorded 2.3 per cent in October 2024, up 0.2 percentage points from the same period last year. The number of unemployed individuals rose to 678,000, an 8.2 per cent year-on-year increase.

While, the number of employed persons in South Korea reached 28.847 million in October 2024, a slight increase of 0.3 per cent year-on-year. The employment-to-population ratio remained steady at 63.3 per cent.
