Sabahy: Egypt’s Progress Lies In Industry, Solar Energy Our Choice

Former presidential candidate and Popular Current leader Hamdeen Sabahy stressed on Monday that Egypt will manage to achieve its striking development for the upcoming phase.

During the coalition’s first economic conference, Sabahy referred to the central role played by the industry sector, noting that the Popular Current’s program emphasizes the sector’s capability to achieve a significant development for the future of the country.

Sabahy further said the Popular Current favors the solar energy over other sources to generate power. He pointed out to the importance of administrative redistribution of Egypt will help all the nation-wide governorates to establish their solar energy stations capable of meeting their residents’ needs.

“We favor the solar energy alternative due to the grave dangers of the nuclear energy even if it was used for peaceful purposes.” Hamdeen explained

Moreover, Sabahy highlighted the necessity of having a quick clear and well-defined program in order to fill the citizens’ needs for energy. Otherwise, he said, “Egypt’s situation will be deeply critical within 10 years from now.”
