The Industrial Development Group (IDG) has finished establishing two factories of 10 within the first phase of East Port Said industrial zone, its managing director Sameh Attia said Monday.
Attia told Amwal Al Ghad that his company is set to establish eight other factories to be presented as developed industrial model.
(IDG), the industrial arm of Egypt leading construction firm Samcrete, is assigned to develop the infrastructure of East Port Said industrial zone with total cost of 3 billion Egyptian pounds.
Furthermore, IDG would complete the infrastructure works of industrial zone by 2018, Attia noted.
Moreover, IDG has started offering parcel of lands to the investors with area various between 3,000 and 100,000 meters so as to establish number of industrial projects.
Samcrete’s IDG is the first Egyptian-based firm to take part in the development of the East Port Said region, after SCZone had already tasked the firm with undertaking the infrastructure works of the industrial zone there.
IDG is a shareholding company with joint Egyptian – German – American investments; 80 percent of which is Egyptian capital, while 70 percent of that is Samcrete investment.
