Saudi Arabia has seized 11 percent of Egypt’s non-petroleum exports within the last ten months with 12.9 billion Egyptian pounds (US$ 1.6 billion). Thus, it became the largest importer of Egyptian non-petroleum products.
According to the report issued Sunday by the General Organisation for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), Egypt’s exports to Saudi Arabia have been increased by 4 percent at the end of October 2015 opposed to 12.4 billion pounds a year earlier.
The Egyptian non-petroleum exports have been declined 11 percent in January-October 2015 to record 116.6 billion pounds versus 131.5 billion pounds at the same period of 2014, the report stated.
Following Saudi Arabia, USA was the second largest importer of Egypt’s non-petroleum products at the end of October 2015 with imports estimated at 7.6 billion pounds opposed to 7.5 billion pounds in October 2014, registering 1.8 percent growth.
Egyptian non-petroleum exports to Turkey have been dropped by 4 percent at the end of October 2015 to record 7.5 billion pounds compared to 7.8 billion pounds at the same period of 2014.
