Schneider Electric, LMD sign MoU for sustainable solutions

French industrial group Schneider Electric and Egyptian real estate developer LMD signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday to implement sustainable solutions for managing multiple smart cities in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

The agreement includes Stei8ht and One Ninety projects in Egypt, as well as LMD’s projects in Dubai, with the goal of managing the project’s systems and utilities, lowering carbon emissions, and enhancing eco-friendly practices, according to a statement.

Under the agreement, Schneider Electric will supply LMD UAE and LMD Egypt’s projects with its intelligent urban management solutions. This includes the AVEVA Unified Operations Centre, which offers secure control over all operations.

The agreement was signed on the fringes of the COP28 held in Dubai.
