Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) announced on Sunday that it received a business delegation from the Chinese Jilin Province to explore investment opportunities.
Ibrahim Abdel Khalek, Vice President of the SCZone for Investment and Promotion Affair, expressed the authority’s keenness on cooperating with the Chinese side.
He also praised the existing successful projects including the Chinese industrial zone Teda-Egypt, which has more than 137 industrial and service projects.
The SCZone is considered China’s gateway for many European and African markets, since investors of SCZone have access to global markets through trade agreements that link Egypt with other countries, Abdel Khalek added.
Director of the Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation division at the Ministry of Commerce in Jilin Province, An Chuan Li, said the delegation aims to cooperate more with the SCZone in the automotive and food industries.
