France-based SDMO Industries, the world’s 3rd largest company for power generating sets, is targeting sales of €10 million for Egyptian market within 2015.
The targeted 2015 sales will be backed by Egypt’s economic stability and the growing demand for the French manufacturer’s products in the light of the country’s current energy crisis.
The current electricity crisis in Egypt has contributed to witnessing a growing demand for the home generators, said Ahmed Shouman – Managing Director at SDMO Egypt.
Shouman further noted that SDMO’s total sales of home generators had surged to €300 million approximately.
In 2014, SDMO has managed to supply two water stations in the 6th of October City with its products for €5 million, he clarified.
SDMO’s clients in Egypt include a wide range of key firms working in the country’s construction sector such as Arab Contractors, Hassan Allam Holding and Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) in addition to the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation as well as local electricity distribution companies. The French firm also supplies its products to a large number of hotels and tourist facilities in Egypt.
