SETS: link between upgrade transport and design of Egypt new cities ‘inextricable’

Hossam Abdelgawad, director of transportation of the consultancy firm SETS North Africa, stresses on Thursday the importance of providing the new cities in Egypt with upgraded transportation links.

Speaking about the inextricable link between transportation and the design of the cities, Abdelgawad further said during Cityscape Egypt Conference that the government has to coordinate with the private sector to build upgraded infrastructure systems in the new cities.

“The private sector is the state’s key partner in achieving the development goals in all cities.” the SETS official said.

The property developers have to be aware of the necessity of relying on up-to-date technological services to improve the lives of citizens, Abdelgawad stated.
