She Art Festival III edition to showcase Egypt women’s talents on Sept 28

The third edition of She Art Festival will be taking place at the end of this September to celebrate Egyptian women’s artistic blend talents.

Bringing a lineup of talented women in different artistic disciplines, She Art Festival will kick off in Tahrir Cultural Center at the heart of downtown Cairo, between September 28 and October 1.

The festival programme focuses on presenting different artistic performances, music, acting, film screening, and dance.

On the opening night the Egyptian mezzo soprano Gala el Hadidi will be accompanied by She art orchestra led by Donia Deghedy featuring Rania Omar on flute.

In the following days, She Art will feature Tablet el Sitt Band, contemporary dance show; What the hell am I doing here? directed by Carol Akad, folklore contemporary dance; Isolated Island performed by a Sudanese group and directed by Nagham Saleh and Dina el Wedidi.

The festival will host artists from different countries including Las Migas from Spain, Talia Lahoud from Lebanon, Filipa Biscaia from Portugal Asia Madani from Sudan and Fulana from Saudi Arabia.

The schedule of seminars and lectures includes a workshop by the Egyptian director Hala Khalil ,How to write short film scripts and a lecture titled Music business by  Nikisha Bailey from the USA.

The film programme will include the Czech movie Buko directed by Alice Nellis with Arabic subtitles. 

The closing night screening is an Egyptian Syrian awareness film on breast cancer.
