Sisi: East-Mediterranean gas discoveries ease Europe’s energy crunch
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Sunday East-Mediterranean gas discoveries in Egypt, Lebanon or any other country, will support gas access to Europe and reduce the volume of demand resulting from the Russian-Ukrainian war.
al-Sisi made his remarks during an interactive session on the importance of cooperation in the field of energy and climate change, as part of the opening events of the Egypt International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference – EGPS 2023.
The large companies and those working in this field were greatly affected by the impression of the idea of demand for gas and energy over the past years, which affected investments’ volume in fossil energy, petroleum, and gas, al-Sisi added.
