Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived on Saturday to Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, to participate in the Fifth Mid-Year Coordination Meeting (5th MYCM) of the African Union, according to spokesman for the presidency.
al-Sisi will deliver a speech presenting Egypt’s ambitious two-year roadmap as the current chair of the Steering Committee of the African Development Agency (NEPAD), the statement added.
The president will also stress in his second speech the principles of climate justice in coping with the effects of climate change, considering the varying burdens that vary from one country to another.
The President will also hold talks with his Kenyan counterpart, William Ruto, to discuss mechanisms for boosting bilateral ties between Egypt and Kenya and mull the latest developments on regional issues of common interests, Fahmy added.
