Sisi orders acceleration of Hayah Karima Initiative by merging phases – PM

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has directed the government to merge the second and third phases of the Hayah Karima (Decent Life) rural development initiative to speed up implementation, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Thursday in a press briefing.

Speaking after the recent Cabinet reshuffle, Madbouly said the move aims to accelerate completion of the nationwide programme, one of Egypt’s flagship social development projects targeting improvements in rural infrastructure and services.

The president also instructed the government to complete the constitutional requirement related to local council elections, Madbouly said.
