Sisi swears in new Cabinet, emphasises reform, human capital development

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday witnessed the swearing-in of Egypt’s new Cabinet and deputy ministers at the Presidential Palace in Heliopolis, stressing the government’s focus on institutional reform, merit-based governance, and human capital development.

The presidential spokesperson confirmed that the reshuffle, issued under Presidential Decree No. 75 of 2026, dissolved the Ministry of Public Business Sector, with the Prime Minister responsible for implementing the related administrative changes.

During a meeting with the newly appointed officials, Sisi stressed the importance of achieving efficiency and meritocracy across state institutions, conducting objective performance evaluations, and strengthening human capital by developing highly qualified cadres for both government and private sectors.

He also highlighted the role of media in promoting awareness, countering misinformation, and fostering creativity, pledging full support to the government in advancing the public interest.
