President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will deliver a speech on Egypt’s vision and position on a number of regional and international developments at the UN General Assembly this week, with his focus drawn to international peace, security maintenance, international terrorism and combating extremism, according to a presidency statement.
Sisi arrived in New York on Friday to participate in the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, with a busy schedule that includes participating in a number of high-level conferences and meetings with world leaders.
The president will also discuss a number of African issues during his speech in light of Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union.
Sisi will also participate in a number of high-level forums which address the current challenges facing the international community.
The Egyptian president is scheduled to hold a number of meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the 74th session, where he will discuss and exchange viewpoints on boosting bilateral ties with Egypt in various fields.
The meetings with the leaders will also see an assessment over regional and international developments of common interest.
According to the presidential statement, Sisi will sit for meetings with representatives of major U.S. corporations and economic and investment institutions which eye increasing their businesses and investments in Egypt.
