Sixth edition of Builders of Egypt kicks off in Cairo
The sixth edition of the Builders of Egypt Forum, one of the country’s biggest events in the construction industry, has kicked off on Wednesday under the auspices of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
Themed “The Egyptian Experience… and a New Vision for Urban Planning in Arab and African Countries”, the Forum is co-organised by the African Federation for Construction Contractors’ Association (AFCCA) in cooperation with Excellent Communications, an affiliate to United Media Services (UMS).
The Forum brings together as many as 14 African and Arab heads of construction federations along with more than 250 executive leaders representing major contracting and real estate investment companies, financial, banking and energy institutions.
The event is set to shed more light on the economic roadmap and reconstruction schemes made for a number of Arab countries such as Libya, the Sudan, Iraq, Yemen, and Gaza Strip. It will explore opportunities for Egyptian construction firms to participate in the reconstruction efforts.
There will be discussion sessions between the heads of African and Arab heads of construction federations and executives of high-profile Egyptian companies working in the fields of contracting, real estate development and industries for reconstruction activities, to discuss opportunities for investment. The event will have special discussions about ways to create a supportive climate for the Egyptian sector’s exportation to start working abroad.
The Forum is set to showcase Egypt’s unprecedented urban development efforts and giant infrastructure projects, and setting up a fourth-generation cities in a move aimed to boost local construction companies’ work abroad.
