Skills of 20.000 Drivers Improved Through CEMEX’s Safe Driving Programs

Assiut Cement Company, an affiliate of CEMEX a global leader in the building materials industry, has provided courses for more than 20.000 drivers in order to learn safe driving principles.

The company released a statement to elaborate that these courses brought about decreasing the rate of accidents significantly in Upper Egypt, specifically in Assiut. These results achieved after two years on establishing CEMEX’s School for Safe Driving.

The biggest challenges facing Egypt are the exacerbation of road accidents problems and their consequent tragedies. Hence, based on the company’s responsibility towards the society, the company had to play a role in stopping blood shedding of more than 7000 citizens, and more than 32.000 injuries annually.
