The Ministry of Insurance and Social Affairs has allocated EGP 69.5 million of the local and foreign grants to support homeless children and refugees through financing 25 societies.
The Minister of Insurance and Social Affairs Nagwa Khalil said EGP 30.9 million is allocated for 13 societies in Cairo for supporting homeless children and refugees and EGP 38.6 million is allocated for 13 other societies which work on providing different activities for all children.
The Ministry seeks to achieve integrated development for children through providing them with suitable activities to improve their capabilities, Khalil noted.
Such move came as part of the Cabinet’s plan to end child homelessness through encouraging initiatives taken by non-governmental bodies, she remarked.
