Solar Crisis To Be Discussed Wednesday By Petroleum Division

The General Division of Petroleum Products, at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, headed by Hossam Arafat, will convene an urgent meeting tomorrow to discuss the consecutive crises of solar.

The meeting will take up the issue of distributing gas pipes by coupons as well as the problems are facing the storehouses’ owners in Egypt’s governorates.

For his part, Hossam Arafat said the crisis of solar that Egypt facing needs the help of all concerned authorities to be resolved.

In his statements to “Amwal Al Ghad”, the shortage of liquidity to import solar is the main reason for the current deficit in the Egyptian markets; denying that the smuggling processes could be the reason for the crisis.

He added that implementing the systems of coupons and smart cards are nonsense, as they couldn’t be carried out without the cooperation of all the authorities as well having a societal dialogue.
