Fawry, Egypt’s leading nationwide Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP), has signed an agreement today with the country’s Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Social Fund for Development (SFD).
The deal is directed for the disbursement of social solidarity pensions through Fawry’s payment service points across the country.
On the sidelines of Fawry’s first financial inclusion conference, Yasser Helmy – Director of IT Sector at SFD – said the total value of social solidarity pensions amounts to EGP 500 million to serve around 1.5 million citizens every month.
After signing the deal, the pensions shall be disbursed through Fawry’s payment service points nationwide in addition to the ATMs and postal offices across the country.
