South Korea’s unemployment rate fell to 2.4 per cent in July 2025, down 0.1 percentage point from a year earlier, official data showed on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the number of unemployed stood at 726,000, a decrease of 11,000 people, or 1.5 per cent, compared to July 2024.
Additionally, the economically active population reached 29.75 million, up 160,000 people, or 0.5 per cent, year-on-year. Furthermore, the labour force participation rate rose 0.1 percentage point to 65.0 per cent.
