Spain’s industrial production rose 0.6 per cent in April from a year earlier, official data showed on Wednesday, but the pace slowed from 0.9 per cent in March.
All major sectors posted annual gains on an adjusted basis, with durable consumer goods leading at 1.5 per cent. However, industrial activity weakened month-on-month, falling 0.8 per cent from March, down from a 0.9 per cent gain the previous month.
Non-durable consumer goods posted the strongest monthly growth at 0.7 per cent, while energy output fell sharply by 5.5 per cent.
