A Spanish court has upheld a previous ruling to extradite runaway businessman Hussein Salem and his children to Egypt.
The court overruled the challenge filed by Salem, his son Khaled and daughter Magda, Assistant Justice Minister for Illicit Gain Authority (IGA) Affairs Assem el-Gohari said on Friday 11/05/2012.
This ruling is final, said Gohari in statements adding that the next step would be for the Spanish court to inform the government in Madrid to take the necessary measures to extradite the Salems.
For his part, Egypt’s Ambassador to Spain Ayman Zien Eldin said the decision by the Spanish court to uphold a ruling to extradite runaway businessman Hussein Salem and his children to Egypt is the outcome of strenuous efforts by Cairo to have all three of them back.
Zien Eldin told MENA that Spanish authorities agreed initially to extradite Salem especially that there are agreements between the two countries.
