Sri Lanka’s industrial production index (IPI) witnessed a 2.4 per cent year-on-year growth in the third quarter of 2024, according to a report released by the Department of Census and Statistics on Thursday.
The country’s industrial production grew 2.1 per cent year-on-year in September 2024. The paper and paper products manufacturing sector soared 85.9 per cent, whereas other manufacturing sectors fell 15.0 per cent during the same period.
