Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail stated that steel industry is currently playing fundamental role in state’s economy since it is the key gate for all national developmental projects in all governorates.
Cabinet spokesman Hossam Al-Qawish announced Thursday that Ismail said that steel industry is also providing a lot of job opportunities as it is a labour-intensive one.
According to Qawish, the Prime Minister emphasized on government’s efforts to upgrade steel industry as well as providing it with necessary power sources to reach the maximum production rates.
Ismail made these remarks during his meeting with Egyptian steel manufacturers in the attendance of ministers of investment, petroleum, and industry and trade.
The PM asserted that the Cabinet is caring about industry sector and exerts efforts to create the suitable climate for attracting more investments to different sectors to enhance development wheel, boost growth rates, provide new jobs for youth, and support local product.
During the meeting, Ismail and manufacturers discussed some suggestions and means of developing steel industry to increase the production capacity, Qawish added.
