Egyptian Suez Canal Insurance (SCI) won an insurance policy bid of 132 million Egyptian pounds ($7.7 million) against the engineering risks of executing Assiut-Sohag Two-Way project, according to sources.
The road project will be implemented within a 12-month timeframe, at a length of 20 km, the sources with knowledge further told Amwal Al Ghad on Thursday.
“The policy will include all contractors’ risks during the period of carrying out the project as well as the mechanical, machines, and equipment failure besides the coverage of the civil liability and natural disasters,” they said.
