Suez Canal revenues fall to $459.8 million in September

Egypt’s Suez Canal revenues dropped to $459.8 million in September from $470.6 million pounds in August, a statement from the canal’s authority said on Sunday.

In September 2016, revenues earlier stood at $416.6 million.

The Suez Canal is the fastest shipping route between Europe and Asia and one of the Egyptian government’s main sources of foreign currency.
