Suzuki halts Hungary plant for 1 week over Red Sea attacks
Suzuki Motor said on Monday it will halt production of its Vitara and S-CROSS in Hungary for a week amid Red Sea attacks, Reuters reported.
The halt will last till the 21st of Jan and it comes after Tesla and Geely-owned Volvo Car suspended production in Europe due to the same reason.
The attacks in the Red Sea has caused delays in shipment of engines and other components used by the firms.
It has also kept one of the most vital routes in the world hostage, with almost 12 per cent of global shipment affected.
