Swedish food packaging firm Tetra Pak plans to raise its sales volume in the Egyptian market within the coming period.
Managing Director of Tetra Pak Egypt, Konstantin Kolesnik stated Monday that Egypt’s dollar shortage is a passing crisis that the company could tackle through innovative solutions and ideas.
Tetra Pak has contracted with one of largest dairy producers in Egypt which is considered the sole firm that uses the new E-Beam technology used in manufacturing packs, the official pointed out.
He clarified that E-beam technology participates in lowering manufacturing cost , accordingly, helping firms face the raise in dollar prices as well as providing better products and lowering production costs.
Kolesnik made these remarks during company’s celebration of 8th Innovation Day that focused this year on food and juices sectors.
During the ceremony, the Swedish company showcased its latest approaches in food and juices sectors locally and globally in addition to discussing customers’ needs, and manufacturing innovations.
The 8th Innovation Day targets sharing latest technologies, innovations and trends with the Egyptian food industry in addition to creating awareness to its customers about the opportunities in the food and juice industry.
“In our 8th Innovation Day we demonstrated ways to innovate in the food and juice category. We believe that our customers’ success contributed to ours; therefore, it is our main role to encourage our customers to launch innovative products by showcasing our latest local and global trends, consumer needs, success stories, processing innovations, ending with the latest flavour trends”, Kolesnik said.
