Trading on the Swiss stock market was halted on Wednesday due to a technical issue that prevented the dissemination of market pricing data, SIX Swiss Exchange announced on X (formerly Twitter).
The disruption began at 10 a.m. Zurich time, with no estimated end time provided. The exchange had been unable to release market data since around 9:10 a.m.
The glitch also affected the dissemination of Spanish stock market indexes, although trading there continued. The Swiss exchange, home to major companies like Nestle and Roche, experienced a similar issue last summer, resulting in a three-hour halt.
This comes just over a week after a major IT failure impacted the London Stock Exchange Group’s RNS service.
Trading on the Swiss Stock Exchange was suspended today due to technical issues. Issues have been solved and trading is expected to start soon again.#SIXnews
