Switzerland, India reach free trade deal
Switzerland and India reached a deal for free trade after 16 years of negotiations, Bloomberg reported on Sunday, citing Swiss Economy Minister, Guy Parmelin.
Parmelin said that the agreement “will create jobs for young population of India, and secure employment in Switzerland.”
This came after a meeting between Parmelin and Piyush Goyal, Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha, shortly after the World Economic Forum in Davos.
He said that the outline for the deal was reached and that officials were currently working on finalising the details.
