Taiwan’s export orders in July rose to $50 billion, up 4.8 per cent from the same period last year, as reported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs on Tuesday.
In New Taiwan dollars, the figure amounted to NT$1,633.4 billion, representing a 9.7 per cent year-on-year growth.
Taiwan experienced a rise in orders for telecom products by 11 per cent in July compared to the previous year, while electronic products increased by 2.2 per cent.
Orders from China slightly decreased by 0.1 per cent, while orders from the United States surged by 14.3 per cent.
European orders increased by 6.1 per cent in July, and orders from Japan rose by 2.4 per cent compared to a decline of 9.2 per cent in June.
It is important to note that due to the prevalence of overseas production, not all products included in these export orders are necessarily manufactured in Taiwan.
