Eng. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE’s Minister of Economy, received Tarek Amer, chairman of National Bank of Egypt (NBE), in his office in Dubai where they both discussed the new developments of UAE’s investments in Egypt and NBE’s role in this respect.
Tarek Al Ghazaly, general manager of NBE in UAE and Arab Gulf Cooperation Council countries, attended this meeting.
Al Mansouri affirmed that the Ministry will continue its efforts in monitoring the performance of UAE’s investments in Egypt to ensure their development through shielding them against challenges facing Egypt’s economy.
NBE has played a key role in supporting national investments through providing investors with credit facilities and services, said Al Mansouri, demanding duplicating these efforts to enable investment projects further grow and expand.
Amer affirmed NBE’s concern to finance UAE’s investors who have large investment projects in Egypt, as well as support them in the face of the financial challenges and work on developing and raising return on their investments.
Despite the turmoil Egypt witnesses in the current period, the country has many investment attractions, Al Mansouri noted, adding that implementing UAE’s investments monitoring committee was recently discussed with Mahmoud Eissa, Egypt’s Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade.
