Telecom Egypt’s board of directors has approved Tuesday the national roaming and international voice calls agreements signed with Etisalat Misr.
Telecom Egypt signed earlier in May a five-year agreement to provide 2G and 3G mobile services through Etisalat Misr.
The company concluded last April a memorandum of understanding with Orange Egypt for TE’s infrastructure transmission services for 2.5 billion Egyptian pounds for five years, starting from 2018.
Telecom Egypt, the state’s fixed-line monopoly, was the first company to buy a 4G licence from the government in August for 7.08 billion pounds to enter the mobile market directly.
