Telecom Ministry Pumps EGP30 mln to Support Emerging Enterprises: Minister
Eng. Atef Helmy, Egyptian Telecom Minister participated in ‘Rise Up Egypt’ conference which hosted by Egypt over two days in the period from 24th-25th of November in the American University in Cairo.
The Minister added in a keynote speech at the conference that the Ministry has four programs which will be applied in the universities as the ministry is supporting the concept of venture capital investment funds, asserting that it has been invested around EGP30 million for the emerging companies (SMEs) till now.
The Ministry also supported more than 40 emerging companies in Smart Village, adding that the Minister is about to implement short-term plan so as to cope with the challenges which hinder the implementation of its plan in order to attain growth rates for the sector.
