Tesla’s China-made sales dip 24.2% YoY in June
Tesla’s sales of China-made electric vehicles in June declined significantly year-on-year (YoY), according to data released Tuesday by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
The automaker delivered 71,007 China-made units in June, reflecting a 24.2 per cent decrease compared to June 2023.
The sales slump extended to Tesla’s most popular models in China, the Model 3 and Model Y. Deliveries of these vehicles dipped 2.2 per cent from May levels.
Meanwhile, Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD reported robust sales growth. BYD sold 340,211 passenger vehicles in June, a significant 35.2 per cent increase year-on-year.
