Egypt’s leading construction company, Arab Contractors is ready to hand over next August its ongoing works on the first phase of the country’s new national road project of 700 km, chairman Mohsen Salah noted.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad on Saturday, Salah added that the pilot operations on the new roads project would start next June before being delivered to the Armed forces Engineering Authority and the General Authority for Roads, Bridges & Land Transport.
Arab Contractors is carrying out the road works in accordance with required quality standards, the chairman confirmed.
Moreover, the Egyptian official stated that the investment cost of Arab Contractors’ works in the new road projects’ first phase is exceeding 2 billion Egyptian pounds (US$262.2 million).
Egypt is working on a national project to establish 1300 km new roads at cost worth more than 17 billion Egyptian pounds.
