The third day of the Africa 2017 Forum launched this morning, entitled “Business for Africa, Egypt and the World” and held from 7-9 December 2017 in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh, Under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
The Forum is being organised by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation of Egypt and the COMESA Regional Investment Agency (RIA).
The conference is attended by heads of states, governments and ministries from various African countries as well as representatives of Egypt’s development partners and high-level figures in the business field from Egypt, Africa and worldwide with a view to promote investments for inclusive growth.
The Africa 2017 Forum is a unique platform, bringing together policy makers, financiers, African investors, and the world countries to promote investments in strategic sectors.
Moreover, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation of Egypt stressed the importance of greater intra-Africa collaboration: “Intra-Africa trade is a valuable component of Africa’s and Egypt’s economic growth strategy,” she said. “For Egypt’s growth strategy, Intra-Africa trade remains a valuable component.
she also stressed the importance of cooperation between African states and boosting investment within the continent for job creation.
Nasr added that President Abdel-Fatah Al-Sisi is keen on cooperation with Africa and that he directed the government to enhance all kinds of cooperation across developmental, social and economic fields.
