Mercedes-Benz announced on Wednesday that is integrating TikTok in the latest version of its 2024 E-Class car, that means dance moves will be possible using both hands, as long as the car is parked.
TikTok and Angry Birds will also be available as part of its in car entertainment system as the company hopes you’ll never have a reason to leave your car, according to Mercedes-Benz.
TikTok isn’t the only programme that will be available for the Mercedes E-Class. It is, however, one of the more intriguing options because it demonstrates Mercedes’ interest and position in the Chinese market.
The car features two screens that run independently, so both the driver and passenger can log in to their own accounts and For You feeds. Those without an account can browse as a guest and enjoy a selection of TikTok’s top content.
“It is extremely, highly important in Asia,” Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Källenius said of TikTok. “Don’t forget that the typical S-Class owner in China is around or under 40 years old.”
David Saidden, director of distribution business development at TikTok said “we’re excited to partner with Mercedes-Benz to introduce immersive in-car entertainment, which will give our community more opportunities to enjoy the content they love.”
