Total premiums of insurance companies registers EGP36.6bln in 10 months
The total premiums of insurance companies has increased by 36.6 billion Egyptian pounds during the first 10 months of the current year, according to Financial Supervisory Authority monthly report.
The premiums increased with an amount of 7.9 billion pounds, 27.5 percent compared to 28.7 billion Egyptian pounds during the same period a year earlier.
The total premiums of property insurance companies has registered 11.2 billion pounds by the end of last October compared to 9.8 in the correspondence year of 2017 with an increase of 14.2 percent.
The total premiums of personal insurance companies has recorded 25.4 billion Egyptian pounds during the first 10 months of 2018 in comparison to 18.9 billion pounds a year earlier with an increase of 34 percent.
Regarding the performance of the insurance companies operating in the Egyptian companies during October, they registered total premiums of 4.6 billion Egyptian pounds compared to 2.9 billion pounds Egyptian pounds.
