The General Authority for Tourism Development has begun establishing 3 water desalination plants in Southern Sinai, at a cost of EGP 40 million. One of these plants will be held in Taba, while the other two will be located in Ras Sudr.
Tarek Sa’ad El-din, Chairman of the General Authority for Tourism Development, pointed out that the Authority has delivered the site to the House engineering services for the armed forces, which will be in charge of the construction process. He pointed out that the capacity of this plant reaches up to 1500 cubic meters per day.
Sa’ad El-Din explained that the Ministry of International Cooperation has approved an American aid worth EGP 53 million, to be used in establishing 4 desalination plants in Sinai and the southern Red Sea.
