Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Kandil arrived in Yokohama, the second largest city in Japan, on Friday morning to take part in the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).
The conference, which will be inaugurated by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Saturday, will group presidents and representatives of all 54 African countries.
Kandil will be giving a speech on Egypt’s efforts to boost its economy abd attract foreign investments through its promotion of economic and trade cooperation relations, the state-owned news agency MENA reported.
Kandil wil meet with his Japanese counterpart on Sunday to boost relations between the two countries and discuss the possibility of Japanese aid to Egypt.
The prime minister will also hold a series of meetings with representatives of different Japanese media.
