Egypt’s Ticketsmarche, the authorised company to organise U.S. rapper Travis Scott’s concert, said that the initial losses of cancelling the concert amounts to approximately 300 million Egyptian pounds.
Mohamed Serag, the managing director of Ticketsmarche, added he isn’t sure Scott’s concert could still be held while there is only five days before its scheduled date.
Serag further continued that the equipment and the foreign team accompanying Scott – who are already in Egypt – were not allowed to enter the Pyramids area.
It was expected that the concert would be broadcast live to about 200 million people, which would be an unprecedented promotion for the pyramids area and Egyptian tourism, Serag added.
