Turkey Halts Navigational Lines With Egypt To Shows Solidarity With MB

In an attempt to show solidarity with Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Turkey has taken a decision to prevent its vessels, which transfer the exports to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries via the Egyptian ports, no to enter them again. It ordered to transfer the exports directly to Saudi Arabia instead of Egypt, bearing the government the total fees of passing through Suez Canal, according to an informed source in the Maritime Transport sector.

Turkey alleged that the cause behind preventing its vessels from passing through the canal is due the service of securing the shipments through Port Said Port to Adabiya Port became tenuous.

The source has confirmed that Turkey’s suspension for the shipping lines in Egypt perhaps is to support the Muslim Brotherhood and to announce its rejection for the current interim president, Adly Mansour.

The “Sisa” shipping line, which connects between İskenderun port in Turkey to Port Said port, Adabiya Port, then Saudi Arabia and Gulf Countries, was suspended this week; announcing its coming tour to Saudi Arabia directly.

Meanwhile, the second shipping line “Iwan Roro”, which connects between Port of Mersin to announced that the coming tour would be the last one enters the Egyptian ports, then it will head directly to Saudi Arabia.
