Turkey’s services production index fell by 0.1 per cent year-over-year in July 2024.
The decline was driven by decreases in accommodation and food services (1.1 per cent), real estate services (5.7 per cent), and professional, scientific, and technical services (5.4 per cent).
However, information and communication services saw a notable increase of 5.7 per cent, while administrative and support services rose by 4.8 per cent.
On a monthly basis, the index decreased by 0.2 per cent in July compared to June. Transport and storage services saw a marginal increase of 0.1 per cent, while accommodation and food services fell by 0.3 per cent.
Notably, real estate services grew by 3.5 per cent, and professional, scientific, and technical services dropped by 2.4 per cent.
